"Driving to our scheduled photo shoot I was praying for no rain, no rain, no rain and it started raining. After speaking to Lindsay on the phone, we decided to keep going and we would try to get a few shots in and come back another day if it continued to rain. "Our original wedding was set for Fl and was to be a wonderful event at Doug's mother's home overlooking the intercoastal. After a few months of wedding planning and enduring "it's" many ups and downs, we decided that we'd veered to far from what we wanted our marriage to be. We would get back to basics.
Upon making the decision to elope, Doug and I wanted to be true to form and keep things simple. A dress and suit, two amazing friends to witness, dinner at Bentley's, a couple bottles of champagne and thank-goodness, a PHOTOGRAPHER.
Hiring Lindsay was such a last minute thing. We both thought, 'what the heck, nothing to lose, even if we just get a couple good ones-great'. Fast foward to 2/12... in walks the brightest and most beautiful photographer to room 717 of the Ritz, where us girls were getting ready.
Lindsay's energy was infectious. She went above and beyond multiple times. For example, she jumped out of the cab and ran two blocks to be sure to capture Doug's face while I was walking up to the courthouse. Then stood out in the 34 degree weather (cameras were not allowed)while we were inside getting married. Doug and I knew as the next couple of hours passed and we jumped around town shooting photos together (in the snow) that we had something very special. After about 1200 shots, Lindsay and us said our farewells. Then just three days later, while in Mexico, the draft photos and video came across our laptop! We sat and went through a box of kleenex while watching our wedding day that was captured so brilliantly by Lindsay. I think, as do many that have seen these photos, that you can feel our emotions and also feel like you were right there with us which is so very important for all the people that weren't right there with us. After my son was born, I decided to leave my "cubical" job in advertising and jump feet first into the photography world while still maintaining my number one job as a stay-at-home mommy.

Photographs are something that you keep forever. Visual memories that are hard to replace.
I try to make the process of bringing you these great memories as simple as possible. All packages include: my time, talent, and travel plus online proofs of your photo session. In addition, you also receive full copyright release on your images and a CD containing all of your negatives.
Sessions last anywhere from one to two hours at the location or locations of your choice.
Proofs are available within fourteen days of your photo session. For weddings, proofs are available one month from your wedding day. Proofs are enhanced and edited to provide you with the very best from our time together.

What is your style:
Some of the best pictures are those where the person did not even know I had a camera pointed at them. Unscripted, un-staged, just real. While I follow a more photojournalistic approach, I do understand the need for structured photographs for certain events. My goal is to simply capture life, leave you with a good amount of photographs in hand and have you barely notice me in the process.
Do you shoot in a studio:
The outdoors is the best studio on the planet. I prefer to shoot in nature but if your event calls for an indoor shoot, I am more than happy to accommodate.
What should we expect from you as our photographer:
You should expect a fun and positive attitude- quick turnaround- a joyful session experience- thorough, organized, and detailed communication-wonderful images to enjoy for years to come.
My ultimate goal is to provide you with unique images that truly tell a story. For our time together to be tons of fun. If my cheeks hurt from smiling so much at the end of our session, I know I have done my job.
What should we wear:
I am a huge fan of color. It makes your photos pop and adds personality. Try to avoid crazy patterns and lots of black and white. Bring as many outfits as you want. Variety is always a good thing. Hats, scarfs and bare feet are always a great accessory.
What happens in the event of bad weather or illness:
On the day of your shoot we will assess the situation. In the event of weather, overcast skys can be a good thing but heavy rain can be a disaster. Should the weather prohibit me from capturing the best pictures possible, we will reschedule your shoot for a later date. The same goes for illness. If one of us is less than our best for the shoot, we will reschedule for a better day.
Do you charge a travel fee:
Yes, I do. For shoots or weddings outside the surrounding area there is a travel fee.
What is a DVD slideshow:
The slideshow scrolls through 20-30 pictures from your shoot. Set to music, this slideshow is a great keepsake to show friends and family. They make great gifts too!
Do you offer album options:
Yes, I do. I have several album options that you can choose from to fit your needs. Albums are designed in-house and take up to three months to complete.
Do you offer anything special for returning customers:
I sure do. All returning customers receive 15% off the current session fee at the time of booking.
Do you ever run any specials or promotions:
Yes, I do. I always list my current promotions on my blog and e-mail previous customers to keep them in the loop. If you are ever curious about specials and promotions feel free to contact me.
Do you shoot newborns:
Why yes! There is nothing like a new babe. Newborn photos are typically taken in your home within the babies first three weeks. Newborn shoots typically last anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the mood of your baby and the babes schedule. I ask that newborns are fed and changed so that your baby is ready for pictures when I arrive. The more content the baby, the better the pictures- the better the pictures, the happier the mama!

Your photos will be available within fourteen days of your photo session. You will receive an e-mail link to view your photos at that time.
All online proofs are password protected and can be viewed through my secure site.
You can place your online order for your prints at that time. There is typically a two week turnaround on your photos.

A deposit is required to secure your session reservation. Your deposit ensures that your date will be held. Deposits are non-refundable. Your deposit can be transferred to another date should an issue arise. You must notify the studio within 48 hours of your scheduled shoot for your deposit to transfer. Lindsay Alexander Photography cannot guarantee specific session openings for transferred shoots. Cancellations taking place less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled shoot will loose transferability.
Following payment of your session deposit, you will receive an informational session packet in the mail. This packet outlines what to expect at your session, what products are offered and much much more.
